Intimacy were a little known band that briefly ignited the early ’80s Birmingham scene. Formed in the summer of 1982 and named after a Jean-Paul Sartre short story, they were remarkable at the time as ‘that band that play with two acoustic guitarists’. When whacked through amps, it gave their live sound a rich, melodic power.
