Having originally come together as a Warwickshire-based jazz quartet, Ivan Dobsky has veered towards more rock based melodies but still enjoys the odd burst of improvisation. Jackie was recorded in Blue Whale Studios in Birmingham in spring 2008. The demo captures the band's eclectic sound perfectly, with the offbeat punky disco of Jackie and the latin-infused introspective journey of Bright Cold Day.
