Alexander (January 21, 1916 in Hamilton, MS - July 8, 1996, West Hollywood, CA) was an all-around session musician (bassist, guitarist, singer, drummer and percussionist) and producer who recorded extensively with 1960s and '70s soul artists, such as Sam Cooke, the Bar-Kays, the Soul Stirrers, Mavis Staples and Isaac Hayes.
