Jalpen is a comedy metal band formed by Alex Temple (Admiral Alpen) and Jon Pike (Mr Wista). In September 2009 they completed their debut album "A Random Cascade of Events". They have recently been working on their second studio album - "Spontaneous Human Combustion" - set for a release in late 2010. Some have deemed them "a mix between Nightwish, Metallica and Weird Al Yankovic", others have said that "Jalpen are like bacon, it's murder, but it's DELICIOUS!"
