Jess Ribeiro formed the Bone Collectors with guitarist Rob Law in Darwin, NT, in 2008. After the release of 2009's Pilgrimage EP, the acclaimed debut album My Little River was self-released in May 2012. In October 2012 it scooped the 'Best Independent Country Album' prize at the 2012 Australian Independent Recording Label (AIR) Awards.
