Jimmy Silva (1952-1994) was a singer/songwriter who split his time between San Francisco and Seattle. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 1960s. He once said he always considered himself a song writer first and his songs show influence of the Byrds, Beatles, and Beau Brummels, as well as influence from his friends' bands: The Young Fresh Fellows, The Smithereens, the Posies and others.
