John Rimmer (b. February 5, 1939, Auckland) is a pre-eminent New Zealand composer. He has created a wide variety of works for chamber, choral and orchestral ensembles and a notable number of electroacoustic works. John Rimmer studied composition with Ronald Tremain at the University of Auckland.
