Jomed is an intriguing Algerian/Cuban band. One can only speculate how these two musical traditions came together, but Jomed's song "Montuno Noreño" is sung in Arabic and Spanish, combining North African singing style and instruments with Cuban percussion, marimba and brass, all unusual in this context.
