Born in St. Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), Julia graduated from the Rimski-Korsakov Academy of Music and in 1988 she won the national harp competition in Moscow. She was harpist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Leningrad and appeared as a soloist throughout Russia. Since moving to Israel, Julia has become a central figure on Israel's concert scene and appears regularly as soloist and in many chamber music ensembles.
