Kai Welch is a singer and songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, TN. In 2007, Tommy Hans, Jamie Dick, Thomas Samuel, Nathan Hughes and Kai formed Tommy and the Whale. Their debut album, "The Art House Sessions" was released in 2007. Their second CD, "Shot for the Moon" followed in 2008. Kai also tours with Abigail Washburn and collaborated with her on her 2011 album "City of Refuge". Kai's debut solo album, Send it Down, was released in July 2011. Read more on Last.fm.
