Kathy X was formed in Berlin 2002 by UK guitarist and singer-songwriter Kathy Freeman, veteran of many punk, rock and psychobilly bands, including the Accelerators, The Birdhouse and Death Valley Surfers. The core members were Kathy Freeman and Rob Raw, who had also played with Mad Sin, and was a founder member of cult old-school psychobillies The Rawheads.
