Katie Goes to Tokyo (alias Kathrine Bergström) was born in the swedish city Skellefteå. Together with some friends she started the band Backfish and in 1997 they released their first album, "It's Emilys", produced by Ken Stringfellow from The Posies. After one EP, 3 singles and some inter europe touring they decided to put the band to rest and move on.
