Khenany consists of six musicians native to Sonora, Mexico: Hermilo Batista, Antonio Hernandez, Hector Ramirez, Alberto Luna, Conchita Garcia, and David Espinoza. As teenagers, they acquired a love of Andean music and were soon performing in Ciudad Obregon, Mexico.
