Founded in 2005 in Oxford, Misissippi, Kill the Ego is an independent, American, post-punk, rock trio that sounds like a mixture of the Minutemen, Wipers, Husker Du, Gang of Four, Mission of Burma and the Pixies. They released debut album Slaves Love Masters in early 2007 and toured the Southeastern United States later that year.
