Klas Torstensson (born january 16, 1951 in Jänssö, Sweden) is a Swedish composer who lives in The Netherlands since 1973. Torstensson studied at the Ingesunds Music school in Arvika, where he studied clarinet, music theory and composition. He continued with a study music science at the University of Göteborg. In 1973 he moved to The Netherlands to study computer music at the Institute of Sonology in Utrecht.
