Electro-acoustic post-pop band Knotwilg is named after an especially gnarly tree that one often sees in the Dutch countryside. Their music resembles the atmosphere surrounding the tree in many ways, as well as that of the landscape in which it is typically rooted: sometimes romantic and melancholically musing, sometimes glitchy, folky and theatrical.
