Tallahassee based group Kumi Hues blends Lupe Fiasco's style with Dead Prez's consciousness. In 2007, Kumi Hues released their first album titled "The Take Off 747-365". In 2008, they released a mixtape titled "Revolutionary Love". The Mixtape got more attention than their album. The mixtape got support from major hip hop blogs such as illRoots.
