A french guy started the band. Mathieu Dubois, as a saxofon player, wanted to play around with the percussionists in a kind of laboratoire athmosphere, mixing Sounds and Rhythms from different musical styles and traditions. Meanwhile, his Landlord in Berlin's in-quarter Friedrichshain got his name wrong when installing the door bell, and called him Mr. Dubios.
