It was late summer 1998 when this project had been launched under a different name. The current one had been adopted two years later after the project's founder recorded his first demo tape 'Dark Water' (2000). In 2004 the band had its first formal release with 'Colours of Black vol.1' Russian Dark Scene compilation, released by Shadowplay Release label.
