Las Animas or Las Animas del Cuarto Obscuro... Mexican cult underground band (Mexico City) although out of time when their records were released (1988 and 1989). On ther first LP: "Las animas del cuarto obscuro" heavily influenced by the UK early 80s scene (Cure, Sound, Echo and the Bunnymen,,etc) and some from the late 80's mexican rock boom (Caifanes, Las Insolitas Imagenes de Aurora, Sangre Asteka, Cafe Tacuba) ,while in the 2nd one (only Las Animas) they mix these influences with early Dead Can Dance ones.
