The Los Angeles-based group Livin' Out Loud are able to blend old-school soul sounds with 21st century dance, pop, and R&B. Reuben MacCalla and Sylvia MacCalla founded the group and were joined by long time friends Lisa LaShawn and Jason "Martini" Martinez .
