Lizzy Lehman was born in Evanston, IL and moved to Portland, Oregon at the age of 18. In the middle of college she was given a homemade journal and began writing her own songs. After spending several years living in Portland she attended the inspirational Kerrville Folk Festival, a monumental folk fest held on the same property in Kerrville, Texas for over 40 years.
