In 2001 & 2002 Mike Koenig & L.J. Gravine started writing songs together. Long time friend and bassist Dave Neabore(Mucky Pup, Dog Eat Dog, All Boro Kings) came on board. The trio began to write and polish their ideas into what would become the LowBuz EP. All that was needed was a singer.
