Lowdown Shakin' Chills began their straightforward, guitar-thick hybrid of punk and rock & roll in their native of Vammalla, Finland in 1985. Consisting of P-P. "Pankku" Kotila (guitar), Jan "Jansku" Nylund (drums), Ville Syrjä (bass), Tuomo "Tuoppi" Kuoppala (vocals), and Toni Haimi (guitar) eventually relocated to Tampere after signing to Hiljaiset Levyt Records in 1991.
