Lucretia's Daggers is largely a project of Lucretia X. Machina (Lauri Murphy), founded in 2001 and named after a Sisters of Mercy song. Lucretia's Daggers made their first public appearance in Boston's underground music scene with a five song demo-CD and performances in the fall of 2003.
