Lul was a band from the province Friesland in The Netherlands. Lul formed in 1987 when Sytse van Essen and Fritz de Jong, also active in It Dockumer Lokaeltsje, team up with Empee Holwerda and Klaas Schippers. A year later, when the band decides to move to Amsterdam, Van Essen opts to stay behind, and the band goes on as a three-piece.
