Lumine was raised in Borneo by a family of proboscis monkeys. Since the proboscis do not keep accurate calendars, there is no way he can be sure how old he is, but he does know that he is "old enough to rock". He is frequently noted for his use of endemic Bornean birds on his background vocals. In 2003 he met acclaimed Swedish zoologist/Bad-ass M.C.
