Machineri was formed in 2008 by Sannie Fox and Andre Geldenhuys. Though Sannie was writing for and performing in two other bands at the time (Black Betty and Mama Know Nothing) a budding desire to form a new project was appearing as she found herself sitting with a list of new songs and the need for a guitarist to play on them.
