Makoto Shinohara (b. Osaka, December 10, 1931) is a Japanese composer. Makoto Shinohara studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music from 1952 to 1954, studying composition with Tomojiro Ikenouchi, piano with Kazuko Yasukawa, and conducting with Akeo Watanabe and Kurt Woess.
