Martin & The Brownshirts were among the first wave of British punk bands. Formed in March of 1977 in Chester, the teenage quartet relocated to London shortly thereafter and appeared at such notable venues as the Roxy and the Vortex. They released one single "Taxi Driver" b/w "Boring" in 1978 and quickly sank into obscurity.
