The Memphis-born Megan Reilly started writing songs and playing them on the guitar at sixteen. Influenced equally by Loretta Lynn and Thin Lizzy. At twenty-three, she moved to New York City in 1999 where Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth became an early fan and supporter and helped introduce Megan into the New York music scene.
