Mikael Nordfors was born 22/12 1958 in Lidingö, a suburb of Stockholm Sweden. His upbringing was very cultural with a father and grandfather who were amateur violinists and viola players on high level. His mother was an amateur painter and his oncle a litterature scirntist. At the age of 5 he started to learn piano, but later changed his main instrument to French Horn at the age of 10.
