Canadian troubadour Mike Barrett is in the process of recording his sophomore album with audio engineer/producer Don Mackay (Caledonia, Don Brownrigg, Jenn Grant, Kev Corbett). He independently released the debut album "What More Could I Ask" in April of 2008, followed by a tour throughout the Maritimes and Ontario. With musical influences ranging from Neil Young and Nick Cave to Bob Marley and Bill Withers, he blends folk rock, soul, blues, and reggae with infectious melodies, driving rhythms and insightful lyrics.
