Mink Shoals is a small community along U.S. Route 119 in Kanawha County and can be accessed by Interstate 79 Exit #1.It is located on the left side of the Elk River and also has a public access site of the Elk River.Most of the residential area is either out Dutch Rd , which turns left from Rt. 119 North, or Elk Forest ,directly across the street from Dutch Rd.
