Minusisthenotion was formed in the late 2006 by Deni Katana and former bassplayer (who Viktor later replaced). Deni Katana, Petter Gunnarsson and Viktor Bälter Lundin played in another band before MITN. It was only natural for them to get together and form a band, Kalle Strömbom also joined the band.
