Miss Nana (formerly Lil' Miss Nana, born Tanyshwia D. Stokes on May 10, 1991) is an American rapper from Newark, New Jersey. Stokes first began rapping when DJ King Shameek, a member of rap group Twin Hype, heard her rapping on her father's voicemail. He later suggested Stokes do a promotion for Wendy Williams' radio show on WBLS. Afterwards, the promo led to other projects such as remixes, appearances in other radio shows across the country.
