Mkwaju Ensemble were a Japanese minimal group active in the early 1980s. They released two albums in 1981, Ki-Motion and Mkwaju on the Better Days label. The core line-up was Midori Takada (Japanese: 高田みどり) and Yoji Sadanari (percussion, marimba, vibraphone). On the album Ki-Motion they were accompanied by Shuichi Chino (synthesizer) and Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami (drums).
