Model American started in early 1995 with Tim Presley, Andy Granelli, and Ken Kirby, all high school students who met in San Mateo. All three of which had a deep love for early 80's punk rock, and dreamed of having a band in the vein of their idols, Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, the Bad Brains, the Adolescents, etc... so that's what they did.
