Morten Schantz is a pianist, composer and bandleader born 1980 in Aarhus, Denmark. He is a member and the founder of progressive art-rock-jazz band, JazzKamikaze, and also the leader of his own jazz trio. By 2014 he has released 8 albums, 4 solo albums and 4 with JazzKamikaze. Schantz has won several awards based on his work with JazzKamikaze as well as receiving two grammy nominations for his solo work, most recently as “Jazz Composer of the Year” for “Morten Schantz: Unicorn”.
