Mounira Mitchala is a singer from Chad. She was awarded RFI’s "Découvertes" ("Discoveries") prize in 2007. She has recorded songs in Chadian Arabic and English, in a modern take on the sounds and rhythms of her native country. She also took part on Frédéric Galliano's 2005 album African Divas.
