Born in San Antonio in 1946, Terry developed an early interest in music and a fascination with the guitar. Lessons with jazz-master Spud Goodall led to a deeper commitment, culminating in a desire to study the classical guitar, as exemplified by Andres Segovia and Julian Bream.
