Musica Alta Ripa was founded in 1984. For some time now the ensemble has performed as a guest at important concert events and festivals, including the Herne Early Music Days, Bach Festival in Leipzig, Flanders Festival in Bruges, Bach Festival Philadelphia, Casa de Mateus Summer Academy of Early Music in Portugal and the concerts at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C.
