Nick Thal So Far Nick Thal was born on 13 December 1977 in Zurich, Switzerland as the son of a pilot and a paintress. Soon after his family decided to move to Retz in Lower Austria in 1994, he started his musical career when co-founding “The Sun”. After two years of loud rock in the aftermath of the early nineties’ grunge vogue and the production of their album “Demons and Daydreams” the band split up for reasons of different ambitions.
