NOOUMENA have been founded in mid-2000s as an experimental rock quartet in Caen, France by Pierre BLIN, Thibault GEAY, Maxime MÉTAIS, and Simon TORALBA, all of whom have got quite influenced by Avantgarde / Eclectic progressive rock combos like Kayo Dot or King Crimson including Robert Fripp. They have released their first official shot "Argument With Eagerness" upon Floridan DIY label Antithetic Records in 2011.
