Nova Pasta was started in Campinas-SP, Brazil, in 2005 by the former members of the now extinct band All Jokers. All Jokers came to life circa 1999. While the sound at the very beggining had a very strong influence of straight-forward punk rock and hardcore, elements of "experimentation" were always present in the songs.
