Influenced by the Bar-Kays and the Ohio Players, Nytro was an obscure funk/soul band that worked with producer/songwriter Norman Whitfield in the late '70s. Whitfield, who scored major hits for everyone from Edwin Starr to Rose Royce, was known for having the "Midas-touch."
