Olav Håkonson Hauge (18 August 1908 – 23 May 1994), best known as Olav H. Hauge, is considered one of the foremost norwegian poets of the modernist tradition in the 20th century. His poetry was adored by critics and other authors, but also by a huge number of Norwegian, and gradually by international, readers.
