Oldmangrady began life as a punky, rough-edged garage band in Wilson, NC. Original members Phil Sabella, Scott Hardesty and Lee Modlin wrote a handful of songs trying to bridge the gap between modern CCM and the Nirvana influenced guitar sludge that Phil and Lee were influenced by.
