La Orquesta Sinfónica de Xalapa (the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra) was founded on 21 August 1929 in Mexican state of Veracruz and its first master conductor was Juan Lomán y Bueno. Its directors were also holders of the founder: José Ives Limantour, Luis Jimenez Caballero, Fernando Avila Navarro, Luis Herrera de la Fuente, Enrique Diemecke, Jose Guadalupe Flores, Francisco Savin and Carlos Miguel Prieto.
