Orville came from a family of working musicians living in northern New Jersey. His mom, 'Ann Knight', was a member of the musician's union, and was a vocalist that played the upright bass in many clubs around northern NJ. His dad sang in The Par-Troy barbershop chorus, Parsipany, NJ. His brother was also a member of the musician's union in northern NJ and still plays the upright bass.
